Click on the advertisement to sign up with the celebrity you want to play as, and make sure they have a large portfolio with photoshoots and movie stills/screenscaps at their disposal.
This game does not take up a great deal of personal time and moves along at a fast pace... so just come and relax and enjoy this non-backstabbing style game.
